In our first session I will gather information about your biological, social, and psychological history, and you’ll share a bit about what led to you reaching out. We will see what it’s like to work together and if it’s a good fit for both of us. We will also go over my policies and procedures in the professional disclosure to make sure we are on the same page.

Research shows that counseling can be effective in decreasing negative mental health outcomes, and increasing resiliency and positive coping skills. We will do work together in session and clients must be willing to be active participants in between sessions.

A therapy session is 53 minutes. You are in charge of how long therapy lasts. I meet with clients on a weekly basis as I feel this is most conducive to productive work. A lot happens in a week. And, there are a lot of weeks. I love working with long term clients who recognize that, like me, we are always a work in progress. I also recognize the value of short term and solution focused work.

My cash pay session fee is $115 for 53 minutes. I am also in-network with many insurances and have them listed on my Psychology Today profile. I have partnered with Mindful Therapy Group to process all of my scheduling and biling.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. You are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing before receiving services. You can also ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit. www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
